I’ve tried this place multiple times and I have been dissatisfied each time. The inside of this place definitely needs some updating. The food is overpriced for what it is..especially any seafood dish. My last time there which was only a couple weeks ago..my $20 stuffed shrimp pasta had so much garlic in it and the few shrimp you get was definitely not jumbo!! I live local and I would love to love this place and I thought maybe under new ownership it would have been a better experience. I thought wrong. I would say this is an okay lunch spot..but dinner is a no go!! I would not recommend!!

Well it’s been over three years since we last came here to Ben’s and I must tell you that we probably won’t be back here again! The last time we came the food was excellent and the service was amazing and the fact that we live an hour away from here made it an event that we enjoyed. This time however we sat down at our table and waited at least 15 minutes before someone came and brought us our menus and asked what we would like to drink, 10 minutes later we ordered, I ordered the deep fried seafood platter, my wife ordered the Big Ben burger with cheese, ketchup and mayonnaise with pickles on the side and fries, our daughter ordered the mozzarella sticks and fries, and our friend ordered the chicken dinner with mashed potatoes. 40 minutes later our food came out, the fries were ice cold and my wife’s burger had mustard on it instead of mayonnaise and the pickles were on the sandwich also. Our friends chicken was also a little cold and she said it was a little dry and the mashed potatoes were bland. My seafood platter was mediocre as the shrimp on the plate was not deveined and the scallops were overcooked as was the fish. The only one whose food was good was the daughter’s. Will not be making the trip back here again!!! Really disappointed with Ben’s this was a great place to take the family to for a very long time.

Ordered salad with tomato, pepper with bread. Bread was fresh, tomatoes were very unripe and peppers had a strange taste. No sooner had app came then meal came of Friday fish dinner, fish was tasty and french fries soggy after asking for extra crispy, pierogies needed to be cooked more. Owner really needs to clean up the kitchen and get a proper chef instead of a home cook, I would compare this meal with Combine Brothers in Boardman, with a less than 1, charging 16.50 for a meal that should be 9.99.

Drove 30 miles to try this place. 6:30pm on a Tuesday. Sign says Seat Yourself so we did, nice window seat in the lower section. After 5 minutes another patron told us 2 other couples had sat there without service and it was closed. The main restaurant section was full so we went to the bar and sat at a pub table. 5 minutes later we were brought menus and ordered drinks. 10 minutes later we overheard a customer being told "sorry, we only have one cook". After hearing that I searched my phone for other nearby restaurants and found G's pizza 3 minutes down the road. We ordered pizza and fish'n chips. It was ready in 15 minutes. We had a wonderful time sitting on their porch and the food was delicious. We cant wait to go back. We won't however be going back to Ben's. I can't rate the food because I couldn't try it. The waitress who served our drinks was apologetic and I feel sorry for her. The atmosphere is sad and depressing. Everything is faded, worn and stained. The windows are dirty. Circa 1990 😖The entire place needs a makeover. They should sell the place to someone who wants to make a legitimate attempt.
